What is the New Covenant?
When Christ taught publicly, large crowds gathered: locals, visitors from neighboring regions, religious authorities, and even Roman observers. The attention was not accidental. Wherever crowds formed, Rome watched. The religious leadership watched as well. Some were impressed, some intrigued, some unsettled.
What is critical to understand is what Christ was not teaching.
He was not explaining His death, His resurrection, or personal salvation. No one, including His disciples, understood that these events were imminent. Instead, Christ and His disciples preached a single, consistent message: the gospel of the Kingdom of God.
This message described a world fundamentally reordered under a new administrative reality. That future world, governed directly by God and accepted by humanity, is what Scripture calls the Kingdom of God. At its heart lies the New Covenant.
Christ did not merely speak about this coming world. He demonstrated it. He spoke of abundance, and food was provided for thousands. He spoke of a world without disease, and people were healed. He spoke of a time when Satan would no longer influence humanity, and demons were expelled. The message was not abstract or symbolic. It was immediate, observable, and verifiable.
The reaction was unprecedented:
Never man spake like this man. John 7:46
This was instruction combined with proof. Words aligned with reality. Authority matched outcome.
The message of the New Covenant was therefore not mystical or religious. It was practical, comprehensive, and hopeful, just as it will be again, hence the ‘open door’. of the end time work. What will be demonstrated is the reality of God’s promises, not the religious hype often mistaken for ‘the gospel’. Christ said, ‘You may not believe Me, but believe the works’. The hard evidence of God will be plain for everyone to see.
After the resurrection of Christ, the disciples asked the obvious question: Was this Kingdom about to be established immediately?
The answer was straightforward: not yet.
That response frames the central issue. If the New Covenant was proclaimed, demonstrated, and promised, but not yet implemented, then what exactly are we meant to be looking forward to?
What, Then, Is the New Covenant?
At its core, the New Covenant represents a complete reconstruction of human civilization. It addresses the essentials of life: food production, housing, social organization, relationships, justice, and governance, at local, national, and global levels. It is not a religious upgrade. It is a systemic reset.
The context matters. The New Covenant follows the worst period of human history, a time so destructive that, without divine intervention, life itself would cease. After the collapse ends, when war has exhausted itself, humanity will finally confront its record honestly. Every system that “looked good” has failed to deliver lasting results. At that point, Christ returns. The captive Israelite nations are regathered in the promised land. Jerusalem itself has been transformed by catastrophic events. In this stark setting, humanity stands face to face with its Creator, not to receive religion, but a blueprint for rebuilding civilization from the ground up.
This blueprint is the New Covenant.
A covenant is an agreement between two parties. Here, the parties are the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, and mankind, represented through the nations of Israel. God guarantees provision, security, and abundance, not mere survival, but a fulfilled life. In return, humanity agrees to live according to the terms that make such a world possible.
Evil Disappears from the World
The New Covenant offers the answer to the question raised in Chapter 1: if an all-powerful, benevolent God exists, then why does evil exist in the world?
The answer, though uncomfortable, is clear: from the very beginning, man has chosen to reject the instruction God provided. The existence of evil is not evidence of the absence of God or of His impotence. It is evidence of human choice. God has consistently offered life; humanity has consistently chosen death. Explained bluntly, God says, “You can do it your way, or you can do it My way. The decision is yours.” We have chosen “the way that leads to death.”
When Christ returns, He will offer us a new beginning. This is not a return to Eden. It is a partnership, a cooperative administration between God and man under the Kingdom of God.
3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee…15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee. Deut 30:3,15
What follows is a brief, non-exhaustive outline of the benefits promised under this Covenant, with supporting scriptures. A comprehensive and detailed analysis of the New Covenant, including its structure, administration, timing, and implications, will be provided in our forthcoming book, New Covenant For Today. It will also be freely available on a dedicated website.
Direct Relationship with the Creator
No intermediaries, institutions, or belief systems required. As established in Chapter 6, the term Israel includes the nations of Israel (plural, the Christian nations) and the people of Judah, the Jews. Israel’s nations will lead by example, inspiring the whole world to follow.
11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. Isa 61:11
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Jeremiah 31:33
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: Hebrews 8:10
31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:31
Universal Access to Truth and Understanding
Knowledge of God becomes normative, not exceptional. This extends beyond spiritual matters to all areas of understanding. Direct communion with the Creator means access to truth without the distortions that have plagued human knowledge throughout history.
14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Hab 2:14
…the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Isa 11:9
Removal of Satanic Influence
Humans are no longer governed by deception or accusations. This changes everything.
It is difficult to picture a world where you do not have to lock your house or fear an attack on a dark street. Concerns about the safety of children become irrelevant. Without the “prince of the power of the air” constantly manipulating, distorting truth, and inciting desires, no one considers exploiting others. Instead, everyone seeks ways to assist and uplift each other. In this new world, the focus is not on haves and have-nots. Everyone is well-fed, comfortably housed, and lives in stable relationships. Human potential is freed to pursue meaningful activities.
An inspiring realization is that everyone recognizes the eternal future of mankind and understands the universe was created for that ultimate destiny.
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, Rev 20:1
Guaranteed Provision and Abundance
Food security, stability, and sufficiency are a covenant promise. The earth itself will be transformed to fulfill this promise.
During the end times, the entire world experiences a profound transformation: mountains shift, new islands rise from the sea, and continents reshape. While many view these upheavals as senseless destruction, they actually represent a reshaping of the earth to create new weather patterns. The Tibetan Plateau, the Andes Mountains, and ocean currents are the main physical features influencing current weather. These will change. Ultimately, this process aims for a more balanced and stable distribution of rainfall.
1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose… 7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: Isa 35:1,7
12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. Zechariah 8:12
13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. Amos 9:13
In this verse, the crops will be so abundant that the reapers have not had time enough to bring the crop in before the plowman wants to proceed with the next sowing.
And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. Isaiah 65:21
End of Disease and Premature Death
Health restored as a baseline condition of life. Medical technology becomes obsolete because there is no sickness to treat.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. Isaiah 35:5
24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. Isaiah 33:24
True Justice and Righteous Governance
Law administered perfectly, without corruption or bias. Government functions as it was always meant to: serving justice, protecting the vulnerable, and maintaining order without oppression.
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Isaiah 2:2.
2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment… 8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth…12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper…13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. Psalm 72
Restored Human Relationships
Social harmony replacing exploitation and conflict. The fundamental drives that cause division, greed, envy, pride, are addressed at their source.
3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. Micah 4:3
4 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. Zech 8:4
Peace at Every Level
Personal, national, and international peace enforced by reality, not diplomacy. Peace becomes the natural state because its causes, deception, exploitation, fear, are removed.
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. 18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; Isaiah 32:17
A New Level of Awareness and Knowledge
We want to know. We want to explore. Human curiosity is unbounded. God designed and gave us this drive intentionally. He has also assured us that in the future, the entire universe will be our playing field. Our knowledge will increase exponentially during the New Covenant.
11 …also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecc 3:11
A Certainty
These benefits are promised, not partially fulfilled. Their full expression belongs to the time when the New Covenant is formally enacted.
Why the New Covenant Is Dynamic, Not a Step Backward
When people recoil at the idea of a world based on natural rhythms rather than industrial systems, they are not defending technology. They are defending a misdefinition of progress.
Modern life trained us to equate fulfillment with frictionless convenience. The New Covenant exposes that assumption as false.
Convenience did not produce meaning. It produced dependence. Industrial civilization replaced skill with outsourcing, knowledge with interfaces, and community with systems no one understands or controls. The moment those systems fail, life collapses. That is not progress. It is fragility disguised as comfort.
But here is what must be understood: the New Covenant removes none of what actually makes life rich, and it opens possibilities we cannot yet imagine.
Christ is the ultimate inventor, scientist, and architect. Everything that exists came through Him. When humanity lives in direct communication with God, when divine wisdom guides development rather than profit or power, technology does not disappear. It matures. It becomes sustainable. It serves life rather than exploiting it.
What we already know will be carried forward. As an example, a bicycle can be made entirely from natural materials: wood, leather, rubber from natural latex. Functional, elegant, sustainable. Paragliders could be fabricated from natural materials and launched from hills. The principles of basic flight, mechanics, and design do not require heavy industry or electrical grids. They require understanding and skill.
Now extrapolate that principle across every domain. What becomes possible when human ingenuity operates without the constraints of profit-driven obsolescence, without the need for centralized power grids, without the damage caused by extraction and waste? What can be built when the Creator Himself provides insight, when materials are abundant, when cooperation replaces competition?
We know what we know. We have advanced beyond primitive agrarian life in many ways. All we need to do is reframe everything into a sustainable package. There will be no power plants or electrical grids in the future, not because we regress, but because we advance beyond the need for them. We move forward without digging a pit for ourselves, as we have done throughout history.
Who knows what the future will be like? It certainly will not be dull. In every way, it will be better. This is the essence of the Millennium: sustainable advancement guided by divine wisdom, human creativity freed from the destructive patterns that have defined our history.
Human creativity does not come from devices. It comes from engagement. Intelligence is not generated by screens. It is developed through problem-solving, exploration, and mastery. Relationships are not deepened by networks. They are formed through shared purpose and real presence. None of these are lost in the world of the New Covenant. They are restored.
The absence of industrial machinery is not deprivation. It is freedom from dependency. No fuel chains. No global vulnerabilities. No opaque systems controlled by distant elites. Skills return to people. Knowledge becomes embodied again. Life becomes resilient.
Work does not become drudgery. It becomes intelligible. When labor produces visible, shared outcomes (food, shelter, care, beauty) it generates satisfaction rather than exhaustion. This is not nostalgia. It is an alliance with how humans are designed to function.
Education does not shrink. It expands. With deception removed and truth accessible to all, learning becomes universal and continuous. Curiosity is no longer diverted into trivialities or exploitation. Science does not disappear. It matures. It studies creation as it actually is, not as it can be monetized or weaponized.
Most importantly, nothing of real value is lost.
There is no sickness to compensate for with medical technology. No loneliness requiring digital substitutes. No injustice demanding bureaucratic systems. No scarcity necessitating industrial overproduction. What technology once attempted to patch over, the New Covenant removes at the root.
Calling this “backward” only makes sense if one believes the present world is a success.
It is not.
The New Covenant is not a retreat from progress. It is progress without damage, without fragility, and without loss. A life that is simpler in form, but incomparably richer in substance. A world where advancement serves life rather than undermining it.
The Saints’ Mission: Providing Hope
For those who “serve the living God,” understanding and effectively communicating the New Covenant is the most vital task. Just as Christ convincingly delivered this message, supported by miracles to prove His point, so will the Saints of the end times. Remember, sharing this “gospel of the Kingdom of God” occurs as the world begins the final seven years of its tumultuous history. Offering guidance and, most importantly, hope to help endure these times is crucial.
As noted in earlier chapters, the context of Matthew 10 clearly includes the end time. This commission extends to the end-time Saints who will complete what the first disciples began.
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give… 23 Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. Matt 10: 6, 23
4 In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God. 5 They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten. Jer 50:11
The New Covenant is not an idea. It is the concrete, verifiable answer to every systemic failure humanity has ever experienced. It is what the Saints are working to bring about. It is what makes the warnings, the urgency, the mission, worth the cost.
This is the world worth fighting for.
